Abstract: Antiplatelet therapy has been implicated as a risk factor for wound hematoma formation after carotid endarterectomy (CEA). Given the increasing use of alternative antiplatelet drugs acting through differing inhibitory pathways, we audited the incidence of re-operation for bleeding post-CEA.
