Abstract: This report looks how hospitals – in high or low-income countries – can best approach implementation of safe surgery checklists in order to maximise the benefit to patients. It lists seven key lessons about how checklists can be introduced, implemented and used optimally and gives practical examples of how these lessons might work in a real situation.
