The Centre for Labour Market Studies at the University of Leicester offers a range of distance learning courses at Doctorate, Masters, Diploma and Certificate level focusing on Skills; Training; People Management; Organisational and Employee Development; Human Resource Development, Management and Globalisation; Workplace Learning; High Performance Work Practices.

The Centre takes an inter-disciplinary approach to the study of Work; Organisations; Employment Skills and Learning. This approach is based on the view that researchers in the social sciences must draw on as many ideas and approaches as possible in order to better understand and critique the complexities of the issues and contexts they study. The Centre has an international reputation for high quality research which has direct relevance for both the policy-making and practitioner communities.
